The primary goal of the Comfort Quilt Committee is to create quilts for distribution to local charities and people in need. It is our belief and hope that our gift of a quilt will bring joy, peace and love to our community.

Each year, we select two Focus Projects. In the past, we have focused on giving quilts to the Waukesha Women's Center, wheelchair quilts for a local care facility, the VA HopTel, and Project Linus. The Oconomowoc Quilters' Guild has also provided quilts to Christmas baskets, the local school districts, fire victims and ill individuals. We average over 100 quilts given throughout the year.

If you are interested in volunteering, please join the Oconomowoc Quilters' Guild. Of course, we are always interested in donations of quilting fabrics, cotton batting, quilt tops, or monetary gifts.

In 2021, we donated approximately 100 quilts to our partners, including Project Linus, our Christmas family, Oconomowoc school families, Oakwood Church, the VA Hospital, and Waukesha Womens Shelter,  There are always kits made up for you to grab and take home to create, plus quilts to be quilted!

“Comfort Quilts appreciates all the wonderful quilts given to us throughout the year. We have been remiss by not showing them finished at all the meetings. We will be showing them and acknowledging who pieced it and who quilted it, so everyone can enjoy the great work and beautiful quilts! "
